Description:
The Department for Infrastructure and Environment is procuring a specialist recovery service for Air Pollution Control Residue (APCr) generated by our Energy Recovery Facility (ERF) in the Channel Islands.
We are inviting expressions of interest from suppliers who operate licensed hazardous waste recovery facilities in the United Kingdom or Europe.

We are seeking to identify capable and interested suppliers who can provide compliant and sustainable recovery solutions for approximately 80 tonnes of APCr ash per week, starting from July 2026.

The Department for Infrastructure and Environment would like to speak to interested parties ahead of the launch of the procurement process for the purposes of preliminary market engagement to help shape the final specification and procurement approach. Suppliers interested in meeting should email Daniel De la Cour at the address below to request an introductory meeting ahead of procurement commencing. Emails must be marked with the subject “I&E APCr OPPORTUNITY”. Any emails received will be responded to by the end of the EoI period.
