- The Government of Jersey is seeking Expressions of Interest from agencies with expertise in fisheries, coastal economies, or marine-sector transformation to support the development of a comprehensive options appraisal for a sustainable future fishing economy.
The project will analyse the current state of Jersey-s capture fisheries, undertake extensive engagement with local industry stakeholders, and draw insights from comparable coastal regions that have diversified or modernised their fishing sectors.
The appointed agency will identify opportunities to strengthen Jersey-s fisheries value chain (such as branding, processing, and export potential) and consolidate findings into practical, economically viable recommendations. This work will inform long-term strategic development, with on-island engagement and presentation of findings forming a key part of delivery. - Documents:
